Dubai is expensive. That’s what most people say and it’s one of the main reasons why some tourists shy away from this ultra mega luxury city. I might have the solution for travelers who are not willing to compromise their budget for a comfortable bed and well designed accommodation in Dubai. You’re welcome! 😀
As mentioned in my previous post, Road Trip From Saudi Arabia To UAE, this was a last minute vacay. Not really a vacay. More of a pleasure with business intentions type of trip. Anyway, I booked our hotel same day as our arrival and told my parents not to expect too much in our booked hotel as I didn’t know what to expect too from the price we paid. So how do you actually choose a hotel while in a hurry? And how did I end up booking Rove Trade Centre? Here’s my checklist:
Rove Trade Centre is strategically located at the start of the long Sheikh Zayed Road, only few meters from the exit of 2nd December Street in the Trade Centre round about. For those exploring Dubai on foot, the Metro Station is conveniently located near the hotel. It’s actually the latest branch of Rove Hotels in Dubai. There was still “Now Open” flags placed at the hotel entrance.
Comfortable & Clean Room
Clean white sheets and linen, comfortable mattress, plush pillows. Check, check, check. And there’s a single sofa bed in the room too! Just in case there’s an extra rover. 🙂 I requested for a room in a high floor with great view and we were actually placed on HIGHEST floor facing the express way. It was a pleasure to watch the cars pass by every morning and the sunbeam slowly reflecting in the tall glass buildings along Sheikh Zayed Road as the sun rises.
I don’t usually bring along toiletries with me except for my toothbrush and facial wash. Rove Trade Centre is a no frills type of hotel and it doesn’t provide disposable tooth brush and all that hotel stuff. But they do have “Bio Shampoo & Conditioner” & “Bio Shower Gel”. I’m not sure what they meant about “Bio”, maybe organic or herbal? Either way, I did like the “Bio” toiletries and the rainshower. And the most important thing ABOVE ALL, they do have a good quality hair dryer!! Yasss gurl.
Good Rating From Past Guests
As a new hotel, Rove Trade Centre is ranked 20th and its sister branch Rove Healthcare 12th best hotel in Dubai in TripAdvisor. The reviews are not lying.
I always book a bed and breakfast rate when I know there’s going to be lots of exploring planned for the day. I don’t want to be spending my early morning hours looking for a nice cafe that serves quality breakfast food. Surprisingly, Rove Trade Centre’s breakfast did not disappoint. For the price we paid, this hotel really gives value for money. There were alot of healthy options in the breakfast buffet including yoghurt, muesli, fruits, cereals, different kinds of pastries, fresh juices, coffee, you name it. For the egg and bacon babies, don’t worry, you can have your eggs cooked your way in the kitchen at no extra charge! Here’s what I had for my breakfast during our three day stay at Rove Trade Centre. I’m going to let the photo speak for itself. 😉
All of the Above with “not so pricey” Price
When your itinerary is spending the whole day outside after breakfast and going back to hotel after dinner, you don’t want to be splurging in a fancy hotel, do you? Unless money is not an issue. All you need is a comfy bed for a good night’s sleep, a clean and well equipped bathroom, and a good breakfast to keep you going. They also have a 24 hour convenience store on site, parking, pool and health club if that’s in your checklist and a self service laundry room for washing and pressing of your OOTDs. Rove Trade Centre rooms start at AED199 or $54 for double occupancy.
Rove Hotels is definitely a game changer when it comes to budget accommodation, mid-range hotel, or 3 star hotel, however you call it. If you have the same checklist as mine, I would highly recommend staying at Rove because this hotel definitely exceeded our expectations. To top it all up, Rove staff are so warm, friendly and always on smile! We always felt we were taken cared of. <3
What do you think of this stylish hotel? If you’ve been to Dubai, which hotel did you choose to stay? xx
